8-level rooftop park in Osaka, Japan

When Osaka's baseball stadium closed its doors, it opened as a great opportunity to reconstruction in the new business district, next to the station Namba, the first stop from the airport Kansai. Given the location, owner Nankai Electric Railway asked John Gerd create gate to Osaka, which will emphasize its individuality. Gerd decided to create Namba Parks - a large park, which will be close to natural interference and harsh conditions of the city of Osaka.
Along with the 30-story tower, the project includes commercial centers (120 tenants), which topped the park on the roof, which crosses several blocks, gradually rising to eight levels.

In addition to the highly visible green areas in the urban landscape, where nature is rare, sloping park connects to the street, inviting passers-by to enjoy groves, clusters of rocks, cliffs, meadows, streams, waterfalls, ponds and outdoor terraces. The area under the park is divided between shops, entertainment centers and points of supply.
